Quadramine Complex
The key structural component of hair is keratin protein in the form of 19 different amino acids. Hair damage caused by internal (medication/changes of metabolism) or external influences (hair dryers, chemical treatments) can be defined as the breakdown of keratin protein. The best way to repair and condition the hair is to replenish it again with a type of keratin protein that is a copy of what is naturally found in the hair.

JOICO® has succeeded in generating keratin protein in the form of the Quadramine Complex™, which can be found in every JOICO® product. The Quadramine Complex™ delivers keratin molecules of different sizes: These keratin molecules will penetrate deep into the hair to replenish lost natural keratin protein. The result is that the gaps (=damage) in the cortex (smaller to mid- sized molecules) and the cuticle (large molecule) can be filled at the same time. The positive and negative charges of the keratin molecules in the Quadramine Complex™ ensure that the hair only absorbs what it needs and that the keratin protein stays in place guaranteeing long term results.
